In the Western Highlands of Guatemala, not far from Lake Atitlan, lies a little piece of Mother Earth behind adobe walls and nestled in a Pine forest, of which I am fortunate to be the steward for a brief time.

This is an early version of the garden. The basic square within a
square shape, a traditional medieval design, remains the same today,
though the fountain now occupies the center square.

The middle bowl of the fountain came from an old house in the
Historic Center of Guatemala City. The rest was "made to order".

I love the lamps, which I had made in Antigua.

The Passion Flower is one of the most beautiful flowers that I know!

Since installing the fountain and the lights, the garden has definitely
taken on a Spanish colonial flavor!
